About the Recipe
Take this hard, brittle ingredient (fu jook), wet it a bit, fill with whatever is in your fridge, and fry to make these crispy rolls!
Ingredients
Fu pei (fresh bean curd sheet)
Something to bind the bean curd together (corn starch mixed with water or beaten egg)
Your choice of filling (minced pork, carrots, black fungus, bamboo shoot, soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt )
Steps
1. Make filling with any ingredients you like, make sure to season and cook fully.
2. Cut bean curd sheet into large sheets, wipe them with water to soften.
3. Add filling, roll like a burrito, ensuring to tuck in the ends, and close with your cornstarch paste or egg.
4. Fry on medium heat with a little bit of oil until golden brown on both sides.
